Rebar Secures $14 Million to Modernize Construction Workflows
Rebar, a vertical AI platform, announced it has raised $14 million in Series A financing. The round was led by Prudence, with participation from Zero Infinity Partners, Founder Collective, Villain Capital, and Optimist Ventures. The platform automates workflows for HVAC contractors and distributors, focusing on estimating and quoting processes.
Founded in October 2024, Rebar’s proprietary AI platform analyses blueprints and specification books. It extracts tens of thousands of data points from each project. Contractors and distributors can now produce quotes in minutes instead of hours or days. This improves accuracy, increases bid volume, and reduces operational costs.
CEO Evan Brown said the funding enables Rebar to address back-office inefficiencies in construction. He highlighted that the platform allows teams to focus on customers and business growth rather than manual workflows. “Our AI platform transforms a process that was previously slow and tedious,” Brown said.
Automating Critical Workflows in HVAC
Quoting and estimating have long been manual and error-prone. Traditionally, stakeholders had to review hundreds of pages of plans for each job. Legacy software often merely digitised the pen-and-paper process without adding efficiency.
Rebar’s AI models mirror the workflow of human estimators. They categorise and count HVAC equipment to generate a bill of materials. The system then produces quotes faster and with higher accuracy. Early users report a two- to three-fold increase in win rates for submitted bids.
Jordan Viniar, General Partner at Prudence, says Rebar isn’t just improving on old software—it’s jumping right past it. Their AI platform runs entire workflows from start to finish, cutting costs and actually bringing in more revenue. HVAC, electrical, and plumbing have always been a bit overlooked when it comes to tech. Rebar is finally building the right tools for these industries.

The $14 million financing will support scaling Rebar’s AI platform across the HVAC value chain. The company plans to develop additional agentic solutions for more workflows and stakeholders. Expansion into electrical and plumbing verticals is also part of the plan.
Rebar’s looking to grow—both across the U.S. and overseas. The new funding speeds up their product development and helps them keep up with more clients coming in. They’re building out teams in engineering, product, and customer success, all to keep the momentum and stay ahead.
With AI doing the heavy lifting, Rebar cuts manual back-office work by more than 90%. That means contractors and distributors spend less time on paperwork and more time landing deals. The usage-based subscription model gives clients the freedom to scale how they want, without the usual headaches.

Vertical AI Driving Construction Efficiency
Rebar’s vertical AI platform is built specifically for construction and HVAC workflows. Proprietary computer vision models read blueprints, identify equipment, and automate quoting. The AI handles tasks that previously required extensive manual review.
The platform’s adoption is growing quickly. Rebar doubled annual recurring revenue in the first six weeks of 2026. The system is already used by 40 clients, including seven investors in the company. Increased efficiency leads to faster project execution and higher client satisfaction.
Rebar’s team brings deep industry experience. Evan Brown, the CEO, actually started his career estimating jobs and selling HVAC systems—he knows the industry inside out. His co-founder, Andrew Schwartz, is the technical brain, the guy who’s built real, scalable AI systems from the ground up. Prudence backs vertical AI companies that aren’t afraid to shake up old-school fields like construction, real estate, and infrastructure.
Their platform targets all those boring, repetitive tasks that people usually just put up with. For suppliers in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing, it takes care of busywork, speeds up the whole process, and helps teams avoid costly mistakes. Rebar is putting together a smart, all-in-one operating system for construction businesses—something that actually helps teams move faster and bring in more revenue.
