Bybit, the world’s second-biggest crypto exchange by trading volume, teamed up with Tether, the leading name in digital assets, to wrap up the Web3 Bell Challenge (Rung Chuông Web3) in Danang, Vietnam.
The event ran from October 16 to 25, 2025, and drew a lively crowd.
This wasn’t your typical competition. University students dove into fast-paced quizzes that made learning about blockchain and Web3 a lot more fun than usual.
The challenge didn’t just boost digital know-how; it sparked creativity and pushed for new ideas.
It brought together young people from across Vietnam and got universities, businesses, and government folks working side by side.
A New Approach to Web3 Learning
The University of Danang – University of Science and Education hosted the event, pulling in over 300 people.
You had students, teachers, business folks, and even officials from the Da Nang Department of Science and Technology all in the mix.
They split things into different stages.
- First came the online launch and registration from October 16 to 21, where more than 340 students jumped in to sign up.
- Then, on October 21, everyone faced off in an online preliminary round—a live test covering the basics of blockchain and Web3.
- Over 200 students made it through, but only the top 100 moved on.
- Finally, on October 25, the action went offline. The finalists battled it out in a live quiz, kind of like the Vietnamese “Ring the Golden Bell” show, with their friends and special guests watching.
It’s a pretty smart setup.
By mixing entertainment with learning, the program makes tough Web3 ideas feel a lot less intimidating and way more fun for young people.
Strategic Significance for Vietnam and Industry
Bybit isn’t just showing up, it’s pushing its bigger goal to grow Web3 knowledge and build better infrastructure around the world, especially in places that are just getting started.
The exchange says it connects over 70 million people worldwide, acting as a link between traditional finance and the newer world of decentralised finance.
Tether is joining in too, and that’s a big deal.
It shows that one of the main players in digital-asset infrastructure cares about education and wants to help local crypto communities in Vietnam grow.
This fits right in with Da Nang’s plan to become a hot spot for tech and innovation in the region.
With schools, businesses, and government all involved, the Web3 Bell Challenge isn’t just about lectures.
It’s about helping students meet people in the industry, diving into real-world projects, and picking up the skills they’ll need in the digital economies that are just starting to take shape.
People walked away happy.
A lot of them said the quiz and the game-like setup made tricky Web3 concepts click and honestly, it was just more fun that way.
For the organisers, this event isn’t just a one-off.
They see it as a piece of a bigger movement to spark digital literacy, push innovation, and get young people in Vietnam excited about the digital world ahead.
Mixing online and in-person rounds, adding some competition, and putting the finals out in public.
It all helps get people talking and keeps the buzz around blockchain and Web3 going.

What Comes Next?
The Web3 Bell Challenge is just a single event, but honestly, it points to something bigger.
Bybit and Tether are clearly serious about building up the next wave of developers, entrepreneurs, and savvy folks in the Web3 world, and they see education as the way to get there.
This partnership in Da Nang isn’t just a one-off. It could shape how future programs roll out across the region.
